It's a Bugs Life!

This half term we have started a new CCCS butterfly topic, which is all about mini-beasts and insects. For your CCCS homework, the children were asked to use different materials and objects to create their very own mini-beast.

In literacy, we have been thinking about what job we would like to have when we are older. We wrote sentences using capital letters and full stops.

We have also started reading the story 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' by Eric Carle

We have been picking apart each number up to 10. So far we have looked at the number 5 and the number 6. For the numbers we have discussed what is one more and one less of them, whether they are an odd or even number, we have looked at what number we get when we double them and we have looked at the number bonds for them.

The children have enjoyed exploring the water play tray. They have been filling and pouring pots and exploring which objects float and sink.
