Canterbury September Blog
We have had a fantastic start to the year and have been very busy.
In R.E we have spent time learning about the different beliefs about how the world began. We have so far discussed whether science and creation are complimentary or conflicting. Below is an explanation about the theory of cosmology.
In our literacy lessons, we have been watching the video clip 'Road's End.' We have spent time learning about creating atmosphere and describing characters and setting.
In our Science lessons, we have been learning about classification. We spent some time outside classifying plants.
During our CCSS lessons, we have started to learn about latitude and longitude. We learnt that latitude and longitude help locate where a place is in the world. To find out how far north or south a place is, lines of latitude are used. These lines run parallel to the Equator. To find out how far east or west a place is, lines of longitude are used. These lines run from the top of the Earth to the bottom.
