December 2022

In Oxford Class we have all been getting excited about the World Cup. Over the Autumn term, the children have been working hard on developing the movement skills. We have been working on handling balls, hoops and beanbags and on running with greater control. We used the World Cup to think about our skills in Dribbling a ball. We started off walking slowly and tapping the ball with our toes, gradually building up the speed and control. Well done Oxford Class!

We have been getting very excited about Christmas! The children have been finding out about the Nativity story. We explored the meaning of some tricky vocabulary like 'census' and 'manger'. We have been developing our expressive skills learning Christmas songs and thinking about singing in time with melody and tempo. The children have also been developing their creative skills, exploring how we can use paint effects to create pictures. The children then used these skills to create beautiful pictures of snowmen. Merry Christmas!
