Our Christian Identity
We have returned to school after a relaxing Christmas break with our families. During our first week back we explored our school Christian identity and created a beautiful class display.
We tried making our own stained glass windows using black outlines and tissue paper:
We made our own 'Faith Flowers' from card petals and lolly sticks. We wrote our names and some of our school Christian values on the petals and stuck them together:
In RE we have been learning about Christian beliefs around creation. We listened to the story of creation from the Bible and looked closely at an artist's impression of the Garden of Eden:
We painted some of our favourite animals that Christians believe God created:
The whole school marked Martin Luther King day by learning about a significant individual from history. In Reception we learnt about Princess Diana and her love for children. We had fun playing with a royal castle, making our own royal statues and crowns, and even dressing up!
Fun with Number Tracks!
In maths we have been learning about counting up one at a time and remembering the 'stopping' number. We practised by playing racing games along our number tracks, inside and outdoors.
It has been a busy start to 2022 as we continue our learning journey.
See you in February!
