June 2022
Stay and Learn
We began our new term by inviting our parents and carers in to share in our learning activities. It was lots of fun and the grown-ups enjoyed learning alongside us.
Sports Day
We really enjoyed our first ever sports day. As well as running races, we also took part in some field events.
The Show Must Go On!
This half-term our butterfly has been all about the performing arts. We learnt about Shakespeare, the famous playwright, and learnt part of his play 'Macbeth' called 'The Song of the Witches.' We took part in lots of exciting activities related to Shakespeare and his works, including potion-making...
... and writing with quills.
Giraffes Can't Dance!
As part of our performing arts topic, we have also been reading the book 'Giraffes Can't Dance.'
We created a group collage of many of the animals from the story that can be found in the African savanna.
We also used all of our creative skills to design and make our own animal masks:
Healthy Habits
We have been learning how to manage our own basic hygiene, such as washing our hands and cleaning our teeth. We thought we would show the dinosaurs our impressive teeth-cleaning skills and help them out with theirs!
