March 2021
Maths
During this month, we have been focusing on our fractions in maths. We have compared and ordered fractions and then moved on to adding and subtracting them, sometimes using different denominators. Next we found out their equivalent percentage and decimal. We have even attempted mixed numbers and improper fractions, identifying them in problem solving questions.
Science
In Science, we have been learning about the topic of 'living things and their habitats'.
We watched a video about Jane Goodall and the incredible work that she achieved. We also designed persuasive posters to 'raise money' for the Chimpanzee's.
While completing this topic Gloucester class have also been investigating the different life cycles of amphibians, insects, birds, plants and mammals!
RE
In our RE lessons this month, we have been learning all about Humanism. We learnt that Humanism is a belief system, rather than a religion - although, one of their main beliefs is to respect all religions!
