It was so exciting for us to all be together again. In Exeter Class we are enjoying playing with our friends again and learning together.
How lovely it is to be able to share stories with our friends.
Maths and PSED
We have been working together placing 'one more' block on our tower. We have been able to say how tall our tower is and if we are taller or shorter. We have taken turns with our friends.
We have been continuing to learn the story of 'Jack and the Beanstalk.' We have thought of some words to describe the giant. We have been able to use our sounds and our writing skills to scribe our descriptions onto sticky notes to display all around the picture of the giant. Some of our interesting words are 'enormous', 'towering' and 'ginormous'.
Understanding the World
We have decided to see if we can grow our own beanstalks. We talked about what the bean will need to grow. We know it will need soil, water and sunlight. There is a castle in the clouds in each pot - we hope the beanstalks will grow tall enough to reach it!
In RE we have been finding out about Palm Sunday. We have been practising our writing skills on paper palm leaves.
Fine Motor Skills
To help our hand muscles develop so we can get better at writing we use tools such as tweezers. Feeding the animals is one of our favourite games with tweezers. We can practise counting at the same time.
We have been preparing for Easter in class in many ways. We have produced a beautiful Easter garden display and we used cotton buds to decorate Easter eggs.
We learnt about Hot Cross Buns and why Christians eat them on Good Friday. We tasted them too - delicious!
It has been a very busy and productive month in Exeter Class. Parents - don't forget to log in to Tapestry to see many more photos and notes about your child's learning journey at Christ Church.
