March 2022

We’re Going on Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen. A character from our next story has asked us to go on a book hunt. The children took turns to follow directions around the classroom to hunt for our next book. When we found it we unwrapped it to great excitement! We talked about if we had a favourite part of ‘We’re Going on a Bear Hunt’?

The children got really excited about their reading on World Book Day, Thursday 3rd March. They took part in many activities in school. They read with their Book Buddies from Truro and Oxford Class. All the children dressed up in fantastic costumes and enjoyed the day very much.

On World Book Day we shared reading 'Cinnamon' by Neil Gaiman and 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' by Michael Rosen. We were so excited about them, but couldn't decide which was our favourite! To help us decide, the children completed surveys of their friends and tallied up the number of children that chose each book as their favourite.
