To Infinity and Beyond!
Our topic this half-term has been all about space. We learnt the poem, 'The Rubbish Tip Alien', wrote letters to the aliens Zig and Zog, and lots of other exciting learning activities.
We created our own aliens:
We used our maths skills to create rocket pictures from shapes:
We explored the moon's surface with the small world astronauts:
We demonstrated using earth coins to Zig and Zog:
We have been enjoying some finer weather and our return to Forest School.
As part of our fundraising for the Jubilee celebrations, we took part in a 'discoathon' with the rest of the school. We had great fun dancing with our friends.
World Bee Day
We celebrated 'World Bee Day' by completing bee-themed activities. We all painted a bee pebble which we placed around our pollinator garden to decorate it. We are hoping the flowers start to bloom soon to provide food for all the lovely bees.
We have begun our jubilee celebrations with activities in class. We have been making queens and cakes with our red white and blue playdough.
We have used red, white and blue marbling ink to decorate cards which we are going to collage for Queen Elizabeth.
Look out for our completed cards on next month's blog.
Don't forget if you are a parent you can see many more photos of your children's learning on Tapestry.
