November 2020

It's party time!

This half term our CCCS butterfly has been all about celebrations, special days and festivals!

We have really enjoyed looking at different special festivals that are celebrated!

We started by looking at bonfire night. We created our own firework paintings by rolling marbles in very colourful paint which we all enjoyed!

We learnt about remembrance day and we created our own poppies. We used our fine motor skills to cut the poppy and stuck on sugar paper to create our own.

In maths we have been learning all about numbers! We have been learning about number bonds and different ways to make numbers up to 5! We have practised using cubes, number rods, numicon and lots of other resources!

In PE we have been practising our throwing and catching skills in partners! We have worked really hard to use our underarm throw so our partner was able to catch it!

Check back soon to see which other special days we have been learning about and through.

Parents - don't forget you can see your child's individual learning journal on Tapestry with many more photos of the exciting learning opportunities.
