This Weather is In-tents - 15/02/19

We learned that countries near the equator have a tropical climate. This results in those countries having really hot weather, but also a lot of rain (so it is not just us). We looked at some news events where the weather was so extreme in Indonesia that they are prone to typhoons and flooding.

We then compared this to countries further away from the equator and ended up looking at the contintent of Antartica. We evaluated exisiting products and were tasked with building a shelter that would keep us dry and warm - it was lucky then that we knew all about properites of materials.

After we had planned our structure, we used the limited resources we had (having been deserted in Antartica after some sort of horrible accident) to build a structure that would survive the strong winds, AKA fan blown really close.
