15.02.19 - A Fruity Problem!

We were given a problem to solve and thought about the skills that we had already secured that we could use to help us.

 

We used the bar model and some practical resources to work out the answer. 

How would you solve this problem? 

 

A Bowl of Fruit.

Half the pieces of fruit in the bowl are apples. 

There are also three oranges, two pears and a banana. 

How many apples are there in the bowl?
