The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark! 10.12.18

We have been learning all about different habitats. We looked closely at birds of prey, particularly owls, thinking about where they live and how they are suited to their environment.

We learnt that they had:

- sharp talons for catching their prey;

- a hooked beak for tearing meat and fish;

- a large wing-span to soar high in the sky;

- large eyes to spot their prey from up high.

On Friday we had a workshop and used our acting skills to learn about Plop - a nocturnal owl who was afraid of the dark!
