March 2022

March blog!

Welcome to our March blog!

We have had a really busy month of learning and hope you enjoy reading about it.

In English we have been reading and writing about

'The Owl Who Was Afraid Of The Dark'.

We have been using conjunctions and a range of suffixes.

We have also started looking at ‘The emperor's egg’.

We wrote letters as the Daddy Penguin to the Mummy Penguin using apostrophes.

In maths we have been looking at making values with different coin combinations and also how to find change.

It is so important to be able to work out change so we don’t spend too much money!!!

In science this month we had science week.

We looked at Gentoo penguins to link with our English story and we made some nests.

We had to use cardboard beaks on our hands to collect the materials we needed.

World Book Day

We also had the opportunity to dress up as a book character for world book day.

Can you recognise any characters we dressed up as in our picture?

We hope you enjoyed our March blog! :)
