Worcester Class January Blog

Happy New Year everyone! We hope you all enjoyed a relaxing and peaceful holiday. It’s lovely to see everyone back at school. It has been an eventful start to the new year in Worcester Class with innovating different parts of an animated short film – Ride of Passage. We have also been working on using a range of sentence structures in our writing.

In Maths, we have been investigating rounding decimals with two decimal places to the nearest whole number and to one decimal place using knowledge of place value.

It has been exciting reading to Otis too during our independent reading time.

In computing, we discussed the dangers of spending too long online or playing a game.

This year we commemorated Martin Luther King Jr Day with a discussion of why he is a significant historical figure. We focussed on Anne Frank, another historical figure, looking at her diary and talking about what life was for her at the time.

In History, we have been learning about the impact of Ancient Greek on our life today.
