Truro's May blog 28/05/21

Welcome to Truro's May class blog!

We have been really busy over these past few weeks and we are very excited to share our work with you.

English

In English, we have been learning about non-chronological reports. We have written our very own non-chronological about dragons.

We looked at the features of non-chronological reports, to do this we looked at a range of non-chronological reports and created our very own writing tool kit. The features we identified were: headings, subheadings, paragraphs and factual information. We then used our model text and writing tool kit to write our very own dragon reports. Have a look at some of our amazing work.

CCCS: Geography

In our Geography lessons we have been learning about the local area. We have been looking at the positive and negative things about the local area. As a class we decided that the traffic near the Erith fish roundabout was a big problem so we created our very own maps showing alternative routes from the fish roundabout. We have also designed our very own posters encouraging people to walk or cycle to school instead of taking the car.

CCCS: Art

We studied the work of the artist, Hokusai and looked at his block print of 'Two Fish'. Here are some of our own charcoal creations, based on the artist's work
