26/11/21 Truro Class

This month we have been reading the book 'The Little Hen and the Great War'. We enjoyed learning the story and using it to inspire our amazing writing. The story is about a little hen who is happily doing her chores when her whole world changes and she realises she has only one option but to go to the war with the solider that saved her from a horrible explosion.

In English, we have been looking at the story of 'The Little Hen and the Great War'. We began by reading a model text, identifying the key features of a narrative and creating story maps.

After learning our text, we went on to write our very own diary entries. We pretended to be the Little Hen in our writing we used: personal pronouns, time conjunctions and adverbs.

Please enjoy some of our amazing writing :)
