English

In English this term, we have been looking at newspaper reports. Our model one was called 'The Beast from the East'. It was all about the adverse weather conditions that have hit the UK.

We then went on to invent our own story; 'Heatwaves, Hotdogs and Hailstones!' We loved looking at different newspapers and news stories.

CCCS

In CCCS, we have been learning about the Vikings. We used our strengthening and joining skills to design and build a structure of a longhouse. We found out that triangles make a stronger structure than other shapes. This linked with our maths.

Maths

In maths, we have been learning about the properties of different shapes. We also looked at different types of triangles and acted them out. We made our own right angles, which we then applied to our independent learning.

We then went on to creating shapes using coordinates. We loved learning about coordinates and we referred to the term 'along the corridor (x-axis) and up the stairs (y-axis)'.

French

In French, we have been learning how to say the different parts of the body in French. We played Simon says and had to touch the body part that was said.
