We are thrilled to share what we have been learning this month!

Art

In Art, we have been looking at Katsushika Hokusai and his amazing artwork. We focused on his piece the Two Fish and discussed his use of colour and printing to create the detailed artwork. Then, we decided to put our skills to the test, using charcoals to complete a sketch of a koi carp focusing on our tone and depth in the picture.

Dreams Can Come True

Our butterfly for the start of the Summer term was, 'Dreams Can Come True'. We aspirations for our futures and career paths that we could choose to follow in the future. We have also been learning about how the media and advertisements influence us. Last week we spent the afternoon taking part in an activity based on 'The Apprentice' where we designed our own healthy snacks and presented them to the class. It was amazing to see all of the interesting healthy snack options they came up with.
