Our Wonderful Work - 19/10/20

Our Wonderful Work - 19/10/20

During our first half term in Chester class we have completed lots of work.

At the beginning of term, we wrote recounts about what we did during our summer holidays. We thought carefully about what we did and used time connectives like first and next to help us to write what we did in order. Below is a display of some of our recounts.

For our CCCS butterfly, 'Home Sweet Home', we learnt about Erith. We created maps of our local area using an aerial photograph to help us. We talked about and identified the natural and man made features that Erith has such as the river and roads.

We also used pictures of landmarks from around the area to help us to draw our own pictures of them. We had to think carefully about the colours we used and how much space we should take up with our drawings so that they looked as close to the real thing as possible. Below is a display of some of our artwork. What do you think of our landmarks? Can you identify them?
