Lincoln class came back to school after half term and looked at the story of Rama and Sita. They discovered the meaning of the celebration of lights and made Diva lamps to celebrate Diwali. Next we look at remembrance day and why people wear poppies. Lincoln class looked at what adults wear poppies and why we wear them. The children created poppy pictures using collage.

In literacy the children have been looking at the story called 'Immi's Gift' by Karin Littlewood. The children discovered that Immi lived in the arctic, where it was very cold and that she had to fish for her food. Immi received gifts from the fishing hole. The children created colourful gifts for Immi to place over her white igloo. After we looked at a non fiction book about the Polar regions. We discovered that non fiction are fact books.
