December 2021

December blog

Welcome to St Albans' December blog! We have had lots of fun in December and have really enjoyed being festive and celebrating Christmas. Here are some pictures of our final few weeks of Year 2 in 2021!

Nativity

In December we performed our Nativity 'I'm Gonna Shine'. We worked really hard to make our show amazing and enjoyed performing so much. Here are pictures of us in our costumes:

Christmas Party

We also had our Year 2 Christmas party where we enjoyed lots of yummy snacks and dancing in the hall with all of Year 2. We would like to thank any parents who brought any food into school for us to enjoy. It was very generous. Here are some photos of us having fun with our friends.

Christmas baking

We also made some Christmas cookies in class in groups. We used flour, sugar and butter and baked these in the oven at 150 degrees.

Visit from Santa!

On Thursday 16th December, we were lucky enough to have a live read with Santa. He answered some questions, sang some songs with us and lastly read us a book. It was so fun, but then something even more exciting happened... Santa came to visit!

He gave us all a book and we got a group photo.

Thank you for reading our December blog. We hope you enjoy this festive time and we will see you in the New Year!

:)
