St Paul's December Blog 2021
Welcome to St Paul’s December blog, where you can find out what we have been up to throughout December.
English
In English we enjoyed studying our new text which was a non-chronological report about teachers. We identified the key features of a non-chronological report and practised using headings and subheadings in our own writing. We then wrote our own reports on types of students and lessons. We found it was interesting to categorise the different types of students and describe their personalities.
Maths
In Maths we have been learning about the 12- and 24-hour clocks. We converted between the two and found it interesting to learn about how time difference works, especially the fact that we have the same time as parts of Africa.
Science
We have been doing a lot of experiments in science to investigate electricity. We tested different materials to find out which conduct electricity. We then combined our knowledge of electricity with DT and made our own lighthouses.
CCCS
We have been learning all about the Anglo Saxons in History. We learnt all about their settlements and designed our own. We also investigated their communication and translated different runes that they used. Using this, we created our own sculptures writing our names in runes.
