English

In English, we have been looking at the narrative ‘1944’. We have also been using this book in our guided reading. We love the fact each chapter ends on a cliff hanger, which leaves us in suspense.

We then went on to invent our own story based on our history topic of Anglo Saxons. We loved writing about a young boy who lived during these times.

Maths

In maths, we have been multiplying two and three digits by one digit. We had to use our place value knowledge to help us.

We have also been solving problems in context. We loved relating maths to real life scenarios.

Science

In science, we have been learning about electricity. We experimented to see if we could make a simple circuit. We found out that a simple circuit needs to include a battery, wires and a bulb. We made a prediction as to whether different circuits will light.
