Welcome to our October class blog.

We are thrilled to show you what we have been learning this month!

English

In English we loved reading our class text, Stone Age Boy by Satoshi Kitamura. 

We created story maps to help us understand the text before writing our own adventure stories about Om coming to the modern world using adjectives, adverbs and inverted commas. 

Maths

In Maths, we have been learning column method for addition and subtraction before applying our knowledge to word problems. 

We discovered that when looking at a word problem we must make sure that we read the question carefully looking for key information needed to solve the question as well as what the question is asking us.
