Worship, Prayer and Reflection Spaces
At Christ Church (Erith) CofE Primary School, pupils, staff and visitors are able to use our indoor reflective area. It is situated near Thankful Hall, and pupils area able to use the space during breaktimes and lunchtime, to sit quietly, reflect, read or pray. Our reflective space has Bibles, prayer prompt cards, story books and activity sheets, along with different objects to help pupils focus their prayers.
Each classroom also has its own reflective area, which pupils can use throughout the day.






Each Wednesday, pupils from Christ Church (Erith) CofE Primary School are able to walk to Christ Church and join members of the local congregation for morning prayer. Children are encouraged to reflect quietly or pray individually or in pairs, for a number of different aspects of school and community life:
Our Leading Lights have subsequently developed these into a spiritual and reflective garden in school, with prayer prompts for pupils, staff and visitors, as well as examples of prayers for each of these areas of our school and community life.
In the autumn term of 2019 we carried out our Pupil Survey, to ask the pupils their thoughts about a wide range of topics and issues in school; some of which related to opportunities within our school family for spiritual development. Here are some of their responses:
