Everyday Materials

For science Winchester class have been learning about different types of materials and their properties.

We have carried out two different investigations. For one investigation the children had to see what objects were transparent or opague and waterproof or not waterproof. The children also carried out an investigation to see what material would be the best for an umbrella to keep Teddy dry.

The children have also looked at how we can group objects based on their properties.
