To celebrate Lent, and our preparation for Easter, pupils have been learning about the story of Jesus in the wilderness, from Matthew and Luke's Gospels, and how this has traditionally led Christians to give something up for Lent.
In support of our local community, our Leading Light pupils suggested promoting the Bexley Foodbank in Erith during Lent, and using the 40 days as a period to donate food and treats. Pupils, staff and families have brought in packets and tins of food, along with Easter Egg treats and chocolates to bless our local community.
We are also proud to work closely with the Foodbank, and are now a registered centre for Foodbank Vouchers. If you would like further details, please contact our school office in confidence, where our staff will be more than happy to help.
