Chichester's June Blog 30th June 2021

It has been a fantastically busy time following half term. There have been so many highlights that it is hard to choose what to talk about! Some mention has to be made of school sports day. The children worked really hard and showed a fantastic sporting spirit as they took part in the obstacle race, running race and throwing games.

This half term we have been looking at geography and linking it to our knowledge of the countries in Euro 2021.

We shared the stories of three Olympians from across the UK, including Naomi Ogbeta from Manchester.

We then explored how we can use an atlas to find out about the human and physical features of UK cities.

In the children's work they explored the geography of the home cities of UK Olympians.

The really brave ones found out about the geography of Berwick, the home city of the footballer Lucy Bronze!

We have been also practicing our French. The children had a lot of fun counting to ten in French and asking each other their ages!
