Harvest

To celebrate Harvest, staff and pupils from all year groups brought in donations of tinned and ambient food, which were then given to the Bexley Foodbank to share with residents in Erith.

Pupils in Year 3 led our Harvest Festival Celebration, in which they shared their art and design work.

We have a long standing partnership with the Foodbank in Erith, and have been able to donate food and toiletries over a number of years. In 2019 we managed to break the 100kg mark, donating a staggering 107.5kg of food! This will go a long way in continuing to support those in financial difficulty in our community. By increasing our donations each year, the Foodbank has also become able to support a growing number of families.

Pupils have previously created Harvest crowns, decorated with pictures and images of food we are able to donate, created bunting, decorated and filled with prayers and blessings for those in our community and created posters persuading people to share with our neighbours.

Our service in school is led by pupils:

Psalm 24:1-2 Good News Translation (GNT)

The world and all that is in it belong to the Lord;
    the earth and all who live on it are his.
