Our local area - 06/10/20

Our CCCS butterfly for this half term is called "Home is where the heart is" and we have been looking at Erith and the surrounding area. 

 

Our learning focus was to devise a simple map using an aerial photograph and a key.

 

 

Here is the aerial view we used: 

 

We then used this to create a key and a map using these symbols to show where things were located in Erith.

 

 

We enjoyed doing this and we have a good understanding of our local area now! Miss Griffiths took some of our work and put it on display for the rest of the school to look at.
