June

Welcome to our June blog!

We have had lots of fun things going on in June such as, our class trip and sports day. We hope you enjoy looking at what we've got up to.

English:

In English we have been learning about playscripts. We focused on a 'Horrid Henry' play and we really enjoyed acting it out. We learnt about the features of a playscript and how and why they are used.

We found the features of a playscript are:

A character list

Stage directions

Title

Scene and act

Dialogue

We then went on to write our very own playscripts including the features that we have learnt about. Read some of our amazing playscripts below!

Truro's Class Trip To The National Gallery

We visited the National Gallery, to support our work during our 'The Show Must Go On' butterfly.

As a school, we are celebrating 'Culture and The Arts' this term.

We had the most fantastic day out at the National gallery. We took a tour, led by one of the gallery experts, who told us the stories behind the paintings. After our tour, we practised as artists in the gallery, looking at how animals are depicted in art. These artworks linked with our previous science topic, Animals, Including Humans. We studied human and animal forms.
