September blog!

Welcome to our September blog. We have been hard at work this month and are excited to share with you some of the things we've been up to. 

English

In English we have started reading the story "The King Who Banned The Dark". We haven't read all of the story yet as we are focusing on prediction and the illustrations. The children are really enjoying the book and can't wait to find out what happens. 

We spent time looking at the different illustrations and discussed the language in the story. 

Maths

In maths we have been exploring place value and addition and subtraction. We have made lots of progress. 

We have been using the inverse to check answers to calculations. To make this clear, we have been thinking about the parts and whole of a number calculation. 

Science

In science, we have been learning about the human digestion system and also the different types of teeth we have. We have produced some brilliant work to showcase our learning.
