English

 

In our English lessons, we have been looking at the narrative ‘Fly, Eagle Fly’, and using this as a basis for writing our own stories. We analysed a modelled text, identifying different features and types of language. We did some work on hot seating, where we were able to get into the shoes of the character. 

 

 

 

Maths

In maths, we have been working really hard to develop our understanding of time. We have been converting time and looking at both the 12 and 24 hour clocks.

 

RE

In RE, we have been learning about Gospels. In particular, their messages and examples set by Jesus. We focussed on the question, ‘How do Christians today try to create a world that Jesus would want?’

 

Science

In science, we have been learning about the topic of sound and in particular how we hear sounds. We have carried out investigations to find patterns between the volume of sounds and the strength of the vibrations that produce them. 

 

It was no surprise that the higher the volume the stronger the vibration.
