Alice in Wonderland

This month in Year 5, we have been looking at the book 'Alice in Wonderland'. We used extracts from the text, visual literacy (from the film adaptations) and a variety of pictures to help us dive into Wonderland with Alice and the rest of the crazy characters!

We used our descriptive language, relative clauses and parenthesis to describe settings and characters, which helped bring our writing to life. We also looked at how dialogue can help advance characters and stories by conveying their personality and intentions without explicitly describing them. We ensured we used the dialogue sandwich to remember the key rules!

Have a look at our amazing work below!
