Black History Month

We began black history month by looking at the story 'We're Going to Find the Monster', written by Malorie Blackman and illustrated by Dapo Adeola. The children enjoyed discovering where the monster was. They had to sail across shimmering oceans, climb huge, high mountains, creep through the deep, dark jungle and float across the bubbly, bubble lake.

Sukkot

We celebrated the Jewish festival called Sukkot. We went on a walk and gathered leaves and sticks, to help us build tents. The children used what they had gathered and material to make their own tents in the classroom. They enjoyed developing their role play skills by pretending to roast marshmallows.
